I did it. I launched my dream project, a golf blog called The Hungry Golfer.
In a Medium story that I wrote Nov. 08, 2023 entitled, From Medium to Golf Blog: Unveiling My Passion Project, I wrote about starting a golf blog and calling it Golf Quinte. I talked about the problems I was having at trying to figure out how my new WordPress website worked. I was completely stumped and had no clue how to build a website.
Wix Website Builder to the Rescue
I then purchased a Wix Premium website which seemed much less complicated. Over time, bit by bit, and with much help from the online tutorials, I have built what I think is a great starter website for my golf blog.
I had an absolute blast building this site and what is up and running now is just the beginning. I plan on adding many more pages to The Hungry Golfer website as it grows.
My Golf Blog Needed a Better Name
I was never inspired by the name Golf Quinte. It was a great name for representing my local Bay of Quinte golf region, but it had limited potential for growth. I needed a name that had no regional ties, a name that could organically grow in other golf regions throughout the world.
